Compensation:   $17/hr.

Role Summary:

The Shipper is responsible for accurately managing, tracking, and documenting all incoming and outgoing inventory within a state-licensed cannabis grower/processor facility. This role supports day-to-day logistics, packaging, inventory reconciliation, and MJ Platform compliance to ensure all cannabis materials are handled, stored, and shipped in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DOH) regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Shipping & Fulfillment

  • Prepare and package wholesale cannabis orders (flower, concentrates, vapes, tinctures, etc.) according to company standards and state regulations.
  • Create and verify shipping manifests in MJ Platform; ensure all data is accurate before dispatch.
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery logistics with approved transporters.
  • Verify driver credentials upon pickup and maintain required documentation.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant shipping/staging areas.

Inventory Management

  • Perform accurate daily counts of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
  • Track all inventory movements within MJ Platform, including transfers, adjustments, and waste.
  • Assist with cycle counts, audits, and full physical inventory reconciliations.
  • Report discrepancies or variances immediately to supervisors.
  • Monitor inventory levels and alert management of low stock or overages.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain strict adherence to Pennsylvania medical cannabis regulations and internal SOPs.
  • Complete required documentation promptly, including chain-of-custody, batch records, and quality logs.
  • Support compliance audits and state inspections as needed.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and product identification at all stages of handling.

Facility & Operational Support

  • Assist with receiving shipments of supplies, packaging materials, and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in warehouse and storage areas.
  • Support cross-functional departments when needed, including packaging and post-harvest.

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Computer and communication skills
  • Excellent mathematical, language and reasoning skills
  • Strong attention to detail

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.
  • 6 months of shipping/packaging preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of five feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
