Location:           On-site, based in Pittsburgh, PA (Northside)

Reports to:        Lab Director

Compensation:  $17/hr.

 

Position Description

Company Summary:

Tri-Mountain Pure, DBA Garden Club PA, grows, manufactures, and dispenses the highest quality medical marijuana products to improve the quality of life, comfort, and well-being of patients in PA while creating jobs and assisting in the economic revitalization of the local community.

 

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for packaging high-quality cannabis-infused products (such as tinctures, capsules, and topicals) in compliance with Pennsylvania’s medical cannabis regulations. This position is also responsible for assisting with our troche production.   This role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and a commitment to consistency in product formulation and packaging.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Production & Formulation

  • Prepare, measure, and mix cannabis extracts with food-grade or pharmaceutical ingredients.
  • Operate specialized equipment (mixers, ovens, encapsulation machines, etc.) safely and efficiently.
  • Follow recipes and SOPs to ensure consistent potency, flavor, and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs packaging functions, filling, applying stickers etc.
  • Portions and weighs products for packaging
  • Parsing out weight, applying various stickers, and ensuring all around quality before shipping stage
  • Must be able to fulfill all packaging duties in a timely, clean, and safe practice.
  • Expected to package flower, distillate products, concentrates and fill vapor cartridges in a timely manner while reducing waste.
  • Monitoring and checking products for flaws, contamination, sugaring, discoloration, anything out of the ordinary.
  • Make sure product, dispensary and tamper proof labels are printed accurately and correctly placed on each product.
  • Assisting with production of cannabis infused products.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

  Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain strict adherence to Pennsylvania Department of Health cannabis regulations.
  • Ensure accurate labeling, batch tracking, and documentation for all infused products.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation protocols.

Quality Control

  • Conduct in-process checks for weight, dosage, and product appearance.
  • Assist with product testing and coordinate with QA teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain detailed production logs and inventory records.

 Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work closely with extraction technicians, packaging staff, and compliance officers.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.          

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or science-related training preferred.
  • Experience in cannabis infusion, chemical processing, food production, or pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of chemistry and laboratory principles.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 50+ pounds, and work in controlled environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow safety and compliance procedures.
  • Experience in laboratory or GMP/ISO-certified environments.
  • Knowledge of cannabis plant chemistry, cannabinoids, and terpenes.
  • Computer proficiency including data entry and seed-to-sale tracking systems.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced production facility with exposure to lab equipment, solvents, and temperature variations.
  • Requires use of PPE (gloves, masks, lab coats, safety glasses, etc.).
  • Work may include weekends or shift work depending on production needs.
     

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must successfully pass a comprehensive background screening.
  • Excellent mathematical, language, communication, and reasoning skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of five feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection).
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)

 

Work Schedule:

40 hours weekly with flexible hours depending on operational needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
